What happens after you apply

1
Submit the form
Fill in your details and select which modules you want to attend — one, several, or all six. Earlier applications are reviewed first and seats per module are limited.
2
Review — within 5 working days
The admissions team reviews your application against module capacity. If a module is full, you will be offered a place on the waitlist and notified if a seat opens.
3
Seat confirmation and payment request
On confirmation, the team will send bank transfer details. Payment is required within 7 days to hold the seat. No payment is taken at the application stage.
4
Welcome and pre-module information
On receipt of payment, you'll receive a welcome note with everything you need — accommodation guidance, what to bring, and any pre-module reading.

Payment is by bank transfer only. Details are issued by the admissions team after a seat is confirmed — not at the application stage. If company formation is complete before your module date, payment via Razorpay may also be offered.

Refund policy: full refund if a seat cannot be confirmed. 50% refund if you cancel more than 14 days before the module. No refund within 14 days of the module.

Frequently asked

Can I book individual modules or do I need to take all six?
Both are possible. You can book all six in advance (recommended, as later modules fill up) or take individual modules subject to seat availability at the time.
Do I need prior knowledge of Sugiura's work to attend?
No. The courses are designed for working designers and publication designers — prior exposure to Sugiura's work is useful but not required. The application form asks about your background so the team can advise on the most relevant starting module.
Is accommodation provided?
Participants arrange their own accommodation in Puducherry. Guidance is provided on acceptance. A guest house on the Villa Appavou campus is available for visiting faculty only.
Are international participants welcome?
Yes. The courses are open to participants from anywhere. The application and all communication is in English.
Something else?
Use the Enquire form and the team will respond.
